Altar Flower Committee provides the altar arrangements for Sunday worship services, funeral and other special services, as well as luncheons throughout the year.

Volunteers: purchase and arrange flowers for weekend worship services.  The Altar
Guild reimburses Flower Committee members for the cost of the flowers. 1-2 hours
per weekend by rotation

Flower delivery: Following the last service bring flowers to a shut-in, nursing home or
other pre-determined destination. 1 hour per week by rotation

Liturgical Ministers assist with specific functions during worship.  These ministries serve the three regular services each weekend, special services of the Church year like Christmas and Holy Week, and occasional services such as funerals and weddings.

Lectors: read the scripture lessons. Once a month by rotation

Litanists: lead the congregation in the prayers of the people. Once a month by rotation

Chalice Bearers: assist the presider by serving communion wine. Once a month
by rotation

Ushers: greet the congregation and visitors as they arrive, distribute service bulletins,
collect offerings during the service, record attendance, and attend the pews as the
congregation receives communion.  This ministry is a crucial component of helping
newcomers and visitors form a positive first impression of St. Timothy's.  Once a month
by rotation

Usher Coordinator: schedules ushers, recruits new ushers and provides training.
1-2 hours per month

Oblation Bearers: bring forward the people's gifts of bread and wine during the
celebration of the Eucharist.  Once a month by rotation

St. Martha's Altar Guild: works diligently behind the scenes to make sure that everything
is in place for the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. The Altar Guild launders and cares for
the altar linens periodically, polishes the silver and brass, sets out the wine and the
wafers/bread,  prepares the candles and sets up for Saturday, Sunday and special services.
Set-up for Communion and clean-up from Communion; in some cases prepare for
next service. Serve at special services (e.g. weddings, funerals, services during Advent, Lent,
Holy Week). Attend training with experienced Altar Guild members and receive a comprehensive
Altar Guild notebook. Meetings are held once a month, but are not mandatory.
1-2 hours per month

The Acolyte Program provides an opportunity for the youth of our parish to take an active role in the worship life of St. Timothy's by assisting our clergy in liturgical services. Youth (grades 4-12) assist the clergy during worship services by lighting candles, carrying the Cross and torches and participating in the preparation of the Holy Eucharist.

Acolyte: serve on a 4-member team (from September through May) consisting of a First
Server, Crucifer and 2 Torchbearers in a rotating schedule that usually requires serving once
or twice per month at the 10:15 a.m. service, plus training at the beginning of the year.
During the summer months, only one experienced acolyte is needed at the 9 a.m. service.
1-2 hours per month

Coordinator: coordinate the acolyte program by developing a service schedule for the year: September - December, January - May, and summer. Make sure all acolytes are present and vesting prior to the service or designate another person to do so in your absence. See that vestments are kept clean and properly hung and encourage the acolytes to assist in this aspect of the program. Conduct acolyte training in the fall, and as needed, for new acolytes or as a refresher throughout the year. Plan any acolyte social functions (i.e. pizza parties). Recognize all acolytes at program year's end for their annual service. Occasionally launder all acolyte robes (approximately twice per year). 5-7 hours per month, varies with time of year.

Co-Coordinator: assist coordinator in all aspects of the managing the acolyte program. 3-5 hours per month

Music Ministry is provided by the adult and children's choirs, ensembles and instrumental and vocal musicians who volunteer their time in service to St. Timothy's.

St. Timothy's Choir: offers its musical talent during the 10:15 service, and at special
worship services throughout the church year.  Members are high-school age and older.  No
audition is required, but members must possess a desire to "make a joyful noise unto the
Lord!"  and commit to regularly attending rehearsals. The choir rehearses Thursday
evenings  from 7-8:30 p.m. and Sunday mornings from 9:30-10 a.m., September-May.
Thursday and Sunday rehearsal and Sunday worship services

Sounds of Joy Children's Choir: offers a musical opportunity for children in grades K-3
to experience a fast-paced, high-energy exploration of vocal music and activities related to
the church's liturgical year. The choir rehearses on Sunday mornings as part of the Godly Play
curriculum and performs periodically throughout the year.
Sunday morning rehearsals and occasional worship services

St. Timothy's Youth Choir: offers an advanced musical outlet for older children in grades
4-7 to rehearse and perform choral music. Led by the energetic and talented Director of
Children's Music at St. Timothy's, the choir explores various types of music and performs
regularly throughout the church year at the 10:15 a.m. service. Rehearsals take place
immediately following the 10:15 service on Sunday mornings. All singers committed to
attending rehearsals and performance Sundays are welcomed.

Liturgical Artists use their talents to create functional art used in worship.  Some examples include our wooden pew torches, the green altar frontal, and the youth banner.

Artists: work in consultation with the rector and the liturgy committee to create needed
 items.  As inspired
