"...Truly I tell you, just as you did it to one of the least of these who are members of my family, you did it to me." Mathew 25:40
For Christians, Lent offers a time for thoughtful reflection and prayer, an opportunity to look within and discern how God may be calling us to love God, our neighbors and ourselves more deeply.
This year's St. Timothy's Lenten devotional guides were developed by Episcopal Relief and Development who works with worldwide Church and ecumenical partners to achieve the eight Millennium Development Goals (MDG) to end extreme poverty. In 2006 the Episcopal Church voted to make MDG's its top mission priority.
The guide provides a daily scripturally-based devotion for each of the days of Lent beginning February 6, Ash Wednesday through March 23, Easter Sunday. The guide also introduces the reader to the eight MDG's and informs how all of us can help reach them.
Devotional guides are available in the church office. You can download an online version by clicking here.
